ZEE TV wanted to launch a new show—Kaleerein under their new motto – Aaj Likhenge Kal, which focused on an issue still prevalent in modern India.
That when it came to marriage, women, no matter their race, background, education or qualification, were treated as nothing more than commodities.
We needed to highlight how women were treated not as people but as objects – chosen on the basis of how good a housewife and a companion she would be and not as independent, qualified individuals.
So we did then next best thing…and put them up for sale!
